My family and I were staying in the area over spring break to hit the slopes and needed a place to stay and we were looking for a kitchenette. The kitchenette definitely met our needs but what was really great was the cleanliness of the rooms and the view from our room of Donner lake. Loch Leven Lodge has that classic look to it of a lodge in the woods. Definitely would love to go back.
Beautiful lodge on Donner Lake. Great views during the winter and summer. Year round fun for everyone. From hot tubs to diving boards, Loch Leven Lodge has stuff to do around the year. 10 minutes away from the ski resorts and docks so you can park your boat (motorboats are allowed), there is so much you can do. 10/10, would recommend it to everyone!
What a place Truckee is. Off the beaten track slightly but wow such a nice area. The lodge was amazing, the owners were super friendly and helpful. Location was phenomenal and the lake was amazing. The hot tub is lovely and the rooms are super warm if you are staying in winter. It would be great if they would have a room with 2 fix beds but that's ok. The pullout was ok but noisy when you moved or got up. I will be back.
Stayed 12/22-27 in the Lake Side Studio (downstairs with easy access to the beautiful built in hot tub jacuzzi). The kitchen, though quite small, was very well appointed and easy to cook in. Highly recommend.
We stayed here while on our 2,500 mile motorcycle trip to Yosemite and back. Upon check-in our host waited for us to arrive to make sure we had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have an ice machine, but not a big deal. The room was wonderful and the location was perfection. We had our dinner while sitting lakeside on the massive deck overlooking the lake. After dinner we enjoyed the hot tub also overlooking the lake. I almost hate to give this place such a good review because it might become hard to get reservations!
Spent 4 days at the BEST lodge ever!! The place is immaculate and has the sweetest couple taking care of it all! Everything we needed in the suite and the kitchen was a perfect size for what we needed and the grill on the deck came in handy! I absolutely love the old school feel of the lodge, it only has about 9 rooms so it was quiet and quant! We will most definitely be making this a yearly tradition, and can’t wait to go back next summer!!!
This place is an absolute gem. Its easily my most favorite place. Was there this weekend and it was just beautiful. Daren and his wife were kind and very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!!
We have stayed here twice and loved it both times. The view is gorgeous and the rooms are so cute. The hot tub is so relaxing and there is plenty of room on the deck to lounge. The staff is also super friendly!!
